Black screen after logon with mouse cursor

Please help me.... When my pc hp G62 model logon with win8 it shows a black screen with mouse cursor.i could only use the task manager

I've had this with Windows 7, once. It was referred to as the 'black screen of death', which may give you a clue to your chances of solving it! You could try a safe mode system restore, otherwise you may need to reinstall Windows (which I had to do).
