Does anyone have Kingston Hyper-X PC3200 working on an Asus P4C800 Deluxe motherboard? I bought two Hyper-X 512MB PC3200 modules, but I can't get them to work with the P4C800. I bought and installed a single regular Kingston PC2700/256MB module and it works perfectly. I have the lastest bios for my motherboard, but still no go. Any idea what memory settings might enable the Hyper-X to work on the P4C800? I've read the Tom's Hardware review on the new 875 motherboards, and it states that they only got the low latency memory to work with the 1007 beta 2 Bios. The Asus website only has the 1006 Bios available. How do I get the 1007 Bios to check out the Hyper-X before the merchandise return period expires?
Edited by stilholm on 05/27/03 10:38 AM.

I have two 256 HyperX modules on my P4P800 Deluxe mobo. The RAM is recognized, but I can't seem to get Windows XP installed. I wonder if the RAM is causing the installation problem? What kind of problem are you having?

My two 512MB modules were also recognized, but I wasn't able to boot into either WinME or WinXP with both HyperX 512MB modules installed. I bought one regular Kingston PC27000 CL2.5 256MB memory module, re-installed WinXP, and everything worked perfectly. I then downloaded bios v1007 beta 006 from Asus and was able boot into WinXP with one HyperX installed. As I write this, I have both HyperX 512MB modules installed. No problems so far (knock on wood...), but I'm just waiting for something to eventually crash. I had some small crashes and errors with both modules installed yesterday. With the memory currently working at this point, I think the problem is with the communication between the P4C800 and low-latency memory. I just hope these problems will be fixed with future bios updates.

I was planning on getting a P4P800 board (not deluxe) with 2x256 MB Kingston HyperX PC3500. What do you think I should do? Go with Corsair instead and pay the extra $16 to avoid this headache, or will new boards have the correct BIOS to avoid the problems?
