Is it possible to use a new and working laptop as a second display for my desktop PC?
MaxiVista is not a big help for me because it doesn't support 3d acceleration, but the idea is good. Is there any other similar software?
Or maybe some hardware solution? I checked a few dozen laptops and none of them had any video inputs. :\

Okay, here is what I found:

If you don't need 3d acceleration, use MaxiVista.
If you do then you have to buy vga2usb, which is an external vga capture device. It's $400 and has an average of 10 fps.
These are the options. Very lame. :\

Oh, and if you want to extend your desktop to a PocketPC, you can do that with SideWindow.
