I've got a couple of tech questions about the audigy 2

1. My system detects it as an audigy 1, even with the newest drivers. is there a way to remedy this?

2. My dvd-audio playback is limited to 24 bit 48 Khz instead of 96/192 is that normal? and how can I fix it if its not. Thanks for the help:)

1. Audigy and Audigy2 are both detected as 'SB Audigy [xxx]' in all systems. (xxx is a hexadecimal number, for example my Audigy is listed as SB Audigy [E800]. If you have an Audigy and an Audigy2 in your system at the same time (or for whatever reason, two Audigies), you can use the A2 drivers for both and the hex number will be different. (e.g. Audigy is [E800] and Audigy2 is [D000]) This facilitates the use of both cards at the same time.

2. Some DVD-Audio discs are actually created at 24-bit/48KHz. You may have such a disc. Also, it's only with with Windows XP SP1 that you can access the 192KHz sampling rate and Windows2000 and below are limited to 24/96. And remember that 192KHz playback on DVD-A is for stereo only.

Edit: Is this the DVD-A sampler from Creative? Because IIRC that's a 24/192 stereo (and 24/96 surround 5.1) disc and shouldn't show this behaviour.
