Hello all,

I am really frustrated that I brought 4 pieces of PC1066 256MB ECC Rambus memory. Later I found out only one Asus MB supports that ram, and as for the new 865PE board, only DDR is supported. So below are my questions. Please help me out here, and save my soul...

1. What are my options here...
2. If I can refund/resell that rams, what are the best rams to get, and what's the brand and model.

Please participate these questions and have a vote. Call this "Americans Memory", and I will get the rams that have the most Vote.

Athlon 64......nForce 3, it sure sucks when you can't afford things. One day Operton Servers will cost less than $4000 so everyone can get one

Corsair XMS RAM is very high quality and operates at aggressive memory timings. PC3200 would be the minimum for an motherboard with 865P chipset...PC3500 would probably be preferrable but more expensive.

I've also had very good luck with Mushkin RAM.

Well thats your call, right now 875 chipset has some problem with low-latency modules, it can generally be fixed with and updated bios, the 3500 will be usefull if you intend to overclock, otherwise 3200 has more aggrsive timming wich should be faster. In the end, it depends on what your planning to do with your pc.
