I'm always getting this error message when trying to install the Palm Desktop software: "The notifier file 'Crogra~1palmOnePACKAG~1NPInstal.dll' was not found. Notifiers are used by Hotsync Manager to inform other applications about synchronizations sessions. Please check your configuration to correct this problem. Hotsync manager is skipping over this file"
And then, no "Palm Desktop" shortcut gets created on the desktop (and neither on the "Start Menu" ) but there is a "Quick Install" icon though (which actually won't work, it tells me it's not "associated" to anything)
For your information, there was a previous installation of my TungstenT1 which I thought I had properly uninstalled... I'm afraid not I upgraded to a TungstenT3 and wanted to do a clean install of it and now I'm stuck with this error after several reboots, uninstalls, etc
First, has anyone ever seen this error message and how to fix it?
Second, how do I do a "very clean install" of the Palm Desktop/Hotsync on a PC? Which folders & registry keys should I delete?
Thank you all for your time, any help would be very appreciated!
fixed the problem, it was actually related to some "access rights" isssues I had at work, I wasn't part of the "admin" group even though I had a "LocalAdmin" account (which is not the same as being an admin on the network).
Issue is now resolved, thanks!
