If I upgrade to windows 7 will my Bios update go away?

Long story short Bios 5.13 version can only be updated to in Vista
Vista sucks and want windows 7
Need bios version 5.13 for Phenom ii processors to work in my mobo
will upgrading to windows 7 downgrade by bios or something

If you update the BIOS it will be permanent until you update again, and I don't se any reason why it won't update with Wi 7...

The BIOS is the set of firmware programs that are run as soon as the computer starts and serve the singular purpose of getting the computer into the state necessary to boot the operating system. Once the operating system is loaded it takes over and replaces much of the BIOSs functionality.

BIOS updates can usually be applied from within the BIOS setup itself.
