RAID 0 and size limitations

I know Windows has a hard time with HDD larger than 137gb on any one IDE channel. I was wondering if I set up two 120gb HDDs on a RAID 0 via my integrated High Point controller, if Windows XP will be able to recognize it as a 240gb hard drive or will I still be limited to 137gb. Thanks.

Shouldn't have any problem. Last week a friend of mine setup a 400GB striped array (2 x 200GB WD SE) using the onboard Promise RAID controller of his Gigabyte GA-7VRXP motherboard. He uses Windows XP Professional and NTFS.

Nope, Windows or file system has nothing to do with size limitation. Remember the FAT32 has a 4 terabyte limit?

Instead, it's the ATA100 standard which generally doesn't understand drives over 137GB unless the BIOS is specifically designed to recognize big drives. Fortunately, most newer motherboards have this BIOS which overcome the problem of single drive or RAID 0 array larger than 137GB.
