Hey im looking for a notebook, I am primarily going to use it to watch video and such, as I have a lot of pirated material on my computer. Im not a gamer, but I do want a good enough graphics card that using advanced video codecs wont slow my computer down, which seems to be anything dedicated. Anyway here are the specs I have in mind. Im looking to pay 1400 or less, but preferrably in the range of 1100-1300.

Processor Turion or Pentium M

Basically I dont care about the processor, however I do care about battery life, as long as its not a celeron. Any speed will do.

Screen As High res as possible, preferrably with the glassview, I would like a 17 inch, but im thinking 15.4 will have to do considering my price constraints. preferrably over 1280x800 resolution

Graphics card Anything dedicated, something that will allow me to have torrents, browsers, trillium, open office documents, and h264 video at the same time open. I am thinking that if i want to multitask with video im gunna need a dedicated card

Ram, 512 dont care enough to allow me to multitask

Battary life- as high as possible, hopefully over 3 hours, this IS a priority.

Weight - As light as possible, again this IS a priority.

DVD ROM/burner, I only need a dvd rom drive

Hard drive, 80 gig, any speed

Construction I do NOT want a cheap laptop. I want one that is relatively durable, It doesnt have to be a rock, but i dont want real shoddy construction. It will be used as a laptop, it wont sit in my desk all day.

I do not need an OS, I want quality, not necissarily brand name. This notebook will be used for pirating and multitasking. So I need adaquate performance, not all star performance. But I do need decent specs, good reliability, a big hard drive, and a good price. I was looking at some of the huge dell discounts way back and im thinking of either waiting for those to return, or maybe going from this website someone else reccomended. http://xtremenotebooks.com/. Does anyone have any reccomendations? Also I know my specs and price may be unrealistic, so something most likely wont meet everything I need, but any reccomendations would be great.

Thanks for anyone that can help.

Upgrade your ram and possibly your hard drive (5400 or 7200?) and your battery on your own. Cheapest Turion 64 I've seen so far.

Compusa had a good deal on acer travelmate centreno duo 1gb of ram 128 shard ram 100gb hard drive spaec. So basicly you have one cpu running your program and the other running the rest of the laptop. And you can get a upgrade on the battery which can last to 5 hours the one battery last 2.5 hours. 1,600 With a 2 year extended warrentee optinoal. 50 rebate and a 250 mail in rebate. So it 1,300 With warrentee. With out $999
