So here I am with a crap old 22" CRT on my desk, its getting fuzzy round the edges, its time for a new one. I'm getting a new graphics card for Doom3 and I don't want my monitor to spoil how great it could be.

But so far I've read about flat panels being good, but still not 100% what we're after. They all seem to suffer from interpolation problems, amongst other things. Interpolation is a big concern for me, as I want a minimum 19" screen and this will be set to 1600x1200. To run most games (if they support it) at this res will require real kick ass hardware, which due to funds I'm just not going to have. I think realistically I could run 1280x1024 in 90% of my games, so do I just try to find a good flat panel that has native 1280x1024? or do I go for the best 22" CRT out there. As CRT is now at its hight of advancements, they are flat screen, anti glare, deep coloured, and DO NOT SUFFER INTERPOLATION.

I just don't know, I'd like to hear from anyone in the same boat, maybe one of you went though this and decided on one or the other, tell me if you made the right choice.

The thing is, monitors should last 5-10 years, and investing 500-700quid is a hard thing to jusitfy so the desision has to be right.
