im a computer tech and my room is full of LCD panels of old not so old laptops.
i wonder... can i use them as LCD panels for my comp?
from what i understand is that i need a some sort of controller for the panel for the CCFL and the panel itself.

is it possible at all?

im not a pro with circuit boards and stuff but can get all these or try my best :P

also the connector has much more pins than 15 can it be DVI,DEF or EVC ?

Toms Hardware did a diy guide to building a projector out of an LCD monitor and an overhead projector. In the second part of the article they address using a notebook screen. Heres a link to the page: LCD article.

Someone may know more about getting one to work, but from what this says I would think it is unlikely.
