Trouble using Canon MX330 wirelessly

Hello,
I am having trouble using my Canon MX330 printer/scanner wirelessly. It had been hooked up by USB and I added a printer as a wireless device, but it is still looking for the USB hookup. I am using an HPG62 laptop and Windows 7. Can anyone help?
