I like the Acer machines. The one I have my hands on right now was $99 at Buy.com, the chassis is well built, the keyboard is nice, the 14.1" widescreen is really nice (not glossy though). has a 5,400 rpm hard drive and is relatively fast for a 1.5 Celeron and 256 MB memory. I upgraded to 512 MB and honestly the thing performs well for a sub-500 dollar notebook.
