I just got my GA-7VAXP and my retail Athlon XP 2500. This is the first computer that i am building. I am having trouble with the heat sink...i just cant get it on, i am scared of using too much force. Do you think that the heatsink is just a big piece of crap or am i doing somthing wrong?

Oh by the way i just ordered a new one and should get it in a few days...its the VANTEC AEROFLOW SOCKET A CPU COOLER TMD 5600RPM 35.5CFM 38DBA...Will this one be much easier to install?

What I do with the awkward catches (especially the overpriced and getting more crappy coolermaster ones) is to bend the part of the latch your trying to push down; I bend the tip of the latch to about 30 degrees outward so it's not so tricky to push down.

make sure you don't crack your core with a heavy HSF.....Get a non conducted anodized CPU shim from tweakmonster, it's the best $10 insurance you can buy.
