I'm about to buy myself a matched pair of 1024MB Corsair Memory. The site I was going to buy this from has the type labelled 3200LL, but now have added a second type, identical to the above, only with the adition of Platinum to the name and a part no. of 3200LLPT. Does anyone here know what the difference is?

Thanks in advance...

PT is for the platinum-silver heat spreaders.

I think it's a great way for Corsair to squeeze a few more bucks out of ya.

They are actually cheaper than the non-PT ones...so, again:
Are the PT-ones any better or worse than the non-PT ones?

Not that you're likely to notice, either way. (IOW, you're already getting Corsair...stop sweating the small stuff and order one or the other)
