Ok, I have a Logitech Elite keyboard and a Logitech MX510 mouse. Now, which would offer optimum performance (especially for gaming purposes) - connecting the keyboard and mouse by their regular USB connector, or using their PS/2 adaptors to connect it by that method? Obviously there's the advantage in using PS/2 that you get 2 more precious USB ports freed up, but does it make any difference as to performance in the real world?

i think no one ever responded cuz well.... ok i wont flame...

if you game or need fast mouse speeds and whatnot, which owning a 510 would imply, then you should with 100% certainty use usb and never use the adapters again.

You can try incease usb update rate with mx510 mouse to 250/450 hz so it will more than 200 hz on PS/s read here how http://www.warleagues.com/viewnews.asp?view=45
