IDE Questions

ok, i have 2 80gb 8mb hard drives and 2 dvd drives (one dvd-rw and the others a dvd-r. I have my primary hard drive on IDE1 master and the dvd-r as a slave. on IDE 2 my DVD-RW is master and the 2nd hard drive is the slave(used for backup files and mp3s)is this the best way to keep it for best performance? i also use the dvd-rw alot so i want that to work good too.do you think my computer would be faster if i made the 2 hard drives on IDE1 and the dvds on IDE2 or any other suggestions? thanks.
