I have two computers networked with a cross-over cable. I
installed Age of Myth on both and start them with the same
cd and then play just fine. I did the same thing with
Titans and it keeps crashing when I try to join the game.
So I bought another Titans and now have a CD in each
computer when I play, but it does the same thing. What do
I need to do different than age of Myth to get Titans to
work with two networked computers?

Use the latest patch for Titans! There was a error with LAN connections that
was solved in one of the Titan patches!
