No, and in the mic pre thread I saw where you double-posted with
slightly different text, twice. So I deleted those messages and did a
get-all-headers, and all four messages came back from the server.
This server DOES accept cancels, as I've seen a Ron-Grossi-Heaven
header when I got new headers, then minutes later I went to get the
body and got a post-does-not-exist message. It was obviously cancelled
by a Good Samaritan.*

I suspect any problems you have are with your computer or your
Usenet server.

Ok - looks like the error's on 'my' news server then. Curious though. Never
seen it do that before in some 18 months of using this ISP.

The double-posting was to correct the missing messages I was seeing of
course.

A few weeks ago I got errors when posting, didn't see the posts
hours later so retried, still did't see them... next day I could post
again. About ten days later my "failed" posts all showed up. They must
have really got lost in the news server...

Reminds me of an email I sent some yrs ago.

I turned up almost a month after posting IIRC. The recipient IM'd me to ask wtf
had happened to it. We never did quite work it out. It seemed to have travelled
a very strange path IIRC.
