I expected THG guys to come out with this How To first, but Maximum PC's April issue beat them out. I've been waiting for this for years. My main motivation is simply to save money. I prefer a lightweight laptop for browsing, email, basic communicaton, and a long battery life as opposed to a gaming rig.

Apparently there are a few kits available.

Is this in the works? When can we expect it?

Aside: Any updates on the USB battery drain issue?

And Maximum PC was beaten by a guy who documented his process in building a laptop but nice attempt anyway
