IE8 is the default on Win7.

If you are having problems, you can go into "Programs and Features" in control panel. On the left side it says "Add or Remove windows features". You can uncheck IE8 and then reboot, go back into there and recheck it to reinstall it.

Also, if you go into "Internet Options" in control panel, you can use the advanced tab to reset your brother. I recommend IE9 if you are able to use it.
