I just got some bargain pcs, athlon xp1700,128 266 ddr on a pcchips m825 board. If I try to use 2 128 ddrs I get errors i win2k and winxp but win98 will run. My tests seem to show that the ram is good and works fine if only used 1 at a time. If 2 are used to give me 256 ram I get random stop errors. Same problem on 2 identical systems. Aside from trying one 256 meg stick what should I try?

Thanks,
George

Double check you are using the same type of RAM- also 256k is sort of pushing it for win2k and xp in my opinion. Past that I would probably go with trouble with the motherboard- maybe try slowing things down (FSB) in your bios see if that helps any.
