Has anybody here got any experience of Class-d speaker cabinets for use by a
live rock band. They have what appears to be some good deals but I'm not
going to get a chance to hear them in action before I have to commit one way
or another. Any recommendations & comments appreciated - any other options
(other than 2nd hand - I am looking into this too) around the same kind of
money (300GBP)?

I will use a Yamaha EMX5000-20 powered mixer with it, running at
500W+500W/4ohms, 325W+325W/8ohms, 1000W/8ohms bridge.

Here's the spec from the www.class-d.com website for the CD JAC 15 I am
considering @ around 300GBP a pair:
15' 2-way speaker delivering 500 watts continuous and 1400 watts peak power,
in a high density polypropylene moulded composite cabinet, giving light
weight with no compromise on strength. Designed by Class D to be the
flagship of their range aiming to blow all other makes of 15' speakers out
of the water. (THESE CABS ARE AWESOME)High clarity top end with a thunderous
bottom end gives these cabs a rating on their own. Got to be heard to be
believed, designed to excel as a live speaker, suitable for any kind of
venue large or small. Class d have spent 5 years in the development of its
products and all involved are proud of this one.

a.. 15' Woofer
a.. 74 Oz Magnet
a.. 3' Voice Coil
a.. 1' Compression Driver
a.. 500 Watts RMS
a.. 1400 Watts Max Power
a.. 8Ohm
a.. 50Hz-20KHz
a.. Speakon Sockets
a.. Parallel Link Outputs
a.. 2KHz Crossover Frequency
a.. Integral Top Hat
a.. Free Cover
a.. 12' available
a.. 98db
Many Thanks
Eddie

Well, as it says in their own blurb "These speakers have to be heard
to be believed," which means you need to listen to a pair - preferably
on a real gig -before you commit any money into them. Those cabinets
look familiar, they seem to pop up in a lot of other companies catalogues.
