Lexmark 5600 won\'t scan

scanned pictures 2 days ago, no problem now it won't scan at all. I've turned off computer and unplugged everything on scanner, still won't scan

you may need to delete and reinstall the scanner software
(when you install software turn the security and firewall off) After installing restart and turn the security back on.
you may need to open the control panel and select Lexmark as the default scanner
Check to see which scanner is selected as the default...sometimes the setting may be lost.
