Audigy 2 Plat Ex Drvrs = Reboots & Corrupt Soft.

Installing the SB Audigy 2 Platinum Ex Drivers causes my PC to constantly reboot for no reason and results in all CD-Based installations (Games, Software, etc.) complaining that the installation media has been corrupted!!!

Uninstall the drivers and everything is fine!!!

System:
Gigabyte 7ZXE - Bios FA
Athlon XP 1800+
1GB RAM
Leadtek Geforce4MX440
Leadtek WinFastTV2000XP Tv Tuner
40GB HDD
LG CD-Writer - 52x24x52
LG DVD-Rom - 16x
Intel Desktop PRO 10/100s Nic
Windows XP + SP1a + All Updates (as of 2003/06/09)
Via Hyperion 4in1 Driver Pack v7
Audigy 2 Plat Ex Drivers off installation CD + Updates off creative site!

Please help!!!!

I have tried CREATIVE tech support (http://uk.europe.creative.com/support/forums/thread.asp?thre=35685) ... except I think all there support staff are dead or blind!!! No response!!!

Please help!!!

I don't know if this applies to your situation, but the Audigy 2 Platinum is EXTREMELY picky about how the drivers are installed. During your original installation, did you cancel the Windows new hardware installation and run everything from the included CD? I know I didn't and I had BIG problems. I hope this helps.
