I have a laptop hddisk and I put it to ECS USB 2.0 external HDD (see site below) and I have not formatted the laptop hddisk.

If I plug it in a USB port of a computer (install all drivers), would it still be listed in "MY COMPUTER" in window even if the hddisk is not yet formatted?

I tried to put the hddisk to my friends laptop and it list as 15gig on the bios. Is there a possibility that the hddisk is damage?

My problem is that it would not list in my computer in win98/2000/XP pc with old USB (USB 1.0)

Thanks in advance.

probably not. I think ti will need to be formatted before it can be recognised. (it will be recognised by the disk managment tools though)

Many modern games must be played multiplayer. And those you encounter online are, almost as a rule, complete and utter cockmongers. :frown:

another thing, since it is not yet formatted, can I format it through FDISK in DOS (while on windows2k)? Would FDISK detect it?
