I recently ordered a Thermaltake W0010+PFC Silent Purepower 480W with Black housing - Xaser Edition ATX 2-Fan Power Supply from newegg.com. I have yet to recieve it. Has anyone had any experiences with this item, or other thermaltake PS's?

Here is the official product link: <A HREF="http://www.thermaltake.com/products/purepower/Xaser/w001011.htm " target="_new">http://www.thermaltake.com/products/purepower/Xaser/w001011.htm </A>

Please let me know if you have any comments, or criticisms.

oh btw, the system I will be having it run is:
AMD Athlon xp 2500+ barton core
coolermaster HHC-001 heatsink with original fan removed and a thermaltake "coolmod" fan added onto it.
Fic Mb Model# AN19E
40 Gig IBM Deskstar
60 Gig IBM Deskstar
52x Lite-On CDRW
Gainward Geforce4 4200
SB Audigy MP3+
Creative Labs 56k modem
3 thermaltake case fans in the
Xaser 2 series case
2 cold cathodes
floppy drive
hard drives and floppies have round cables, one with a blue "EL" wire wrapped around it.

But I plan on getting 2 WD Raptor SATA Drives and running them in Raid 0 to boot off of if possible. Also, I plan on purchasing a DVD drive.

The P/S says it has SATA support in it. and that it is quiet. Has anyone seen, or heard one? Comment plz.

I'm glad ThermalTake has at least some kind of track record that sounds favorable for p/s's.. thanks for the response

This is a bit off-topic, but IMHO, ThermalTake makes some of the ugliest, gawdiest (sp?) products on the market. However, they also make some of the highest quality products....but damn they got some ugly $h!t.

I'm a little supprised it doesn't have more then 1 sata power connector. Good thing my MB came with a converter so when I get 2 raptors I'll have to use a convertor on one.
