Hello All, 1st time posting

Would be very appreciative of any help! I recently purchased a new desktop and it came with windows 7. I am having trouble hooking up my router, it will not allow me to access the internet through the router. I have a Linksys BEFW11S4 (I know it's a dinosaur but I've never had issues before) The router will not even install. Upon further investigation I've discovered that my problem may lie with Windows 7...please help!!!

You don't need to install anything to connect to the router. Are you using a wired or wireless connection?

I found the same problem. Waiting for a solution. It will connect my surfboard modem 5120 directly to my new machine with windows 7, but when I connect it to my Linksys wireless WRT54G it says there is no modem. Apparently a windows 7 problem. No driver for windows 7.

First, when you connect your cable modem to the router, you need to power cycle the cable modem. Second, as long as your network connection is working, you don't need a driver for the Linksys.
