i have install adope reader9 but cannot open pdf files from email

What message do they give you when you try to open them?

If you just need to read the PDFs then a free version of the Foxit PDF Viewer is a lighter option to use.

try to save it first, then open

or check file Association

to adjust file association
click start > control > default prorams > associate a file type or protocol with a secific program > scroll down to pdf and double click and select the adobe reader.

What explorer are you using? Firefox always try to use his own PDF reader but doesn't work very well, check in the settings of your explorer and configure it for open PDF with Adobe reader always.
