A friend offered me a toshiba laptop, intel dual core, 120 GB, intel graphics, with fingerprint detection for $800.00. Is it worth it?

Sounds to me that it might be a good deal, but unless you can give us more of the specifications, I can't assume what you are dealing with. I know that friends can give you "deals", but some people get taken advantage of, especially if you aren't computer savy or knowledgeable about what your dealing with.
