I'm updating my computer system to Windows XP but I don't
know if AOK will work with it and I probably won't install
it until I know something. I don't anything to get screwed
up.
Thanks

When I traded in my Windows 98SE PC (where I'd been playing AOK/The
Conquerors for years) for a Windows XP home edition PC, I installed the
games(s) and they ran fine.

Replaced my old PC running Win 98 with a new PC running Win 2000 18 months ago.
Reinstalled both AOK and The Conquerors expansion from disc, no problems
whatever.

oh, you never know. My windows XP computer with sp2 does not run AOE
properly. It could run fine till the main menu but when i start a game, the
screen scrolls by itself for no reason, and it never stops. That suks because
you cannot command anything. But, the game did not run altogether (because of
an error that did not allow the program to start) until i installed SP2 a
couple of months ago.
