Since upgrading to SP2, the game just up and quites on me. I still
get the sounds coming through the speakers. If I try to restart it, it
say's "a copy of the game is already started". No error is generated
other than the usual "do you want to send this to microsoft....".

I have already done the uninstall/reinstall but I willl take the
advice listed and remove everything, AOK2 & AOC, local setting etc...

Like others, no malware, virus or extranious programs.
Asus A7N8x Deluxe
512 meg ram
9600 XT
drivers are updated already and so is the OS.

Any Idea's?

I don't have SP2 but I believe it might have something to do with giving the
game access to the net (Firewall settings). At least that happens if you got
the Zone Alarm Firewall - if you don't allow access, the game will not
start.
