I have some 1 gig of 3500 (433) but my bios only recognizes 400 max (asus p4c800) Is there a way to go into the bios and OC manually to 433 speeds?

No.

Based on your motherboard's manual... see page 4-15.

You can only set the memory bus frequency as the following states...

DRAM Frequency [Auto]

Allows you to set the DDR operating frequency. Coniguration options:
[266MHz] [333MHz] [400MHz] [Auto]

you don't want to overclock your memory with that board. You want to keep it in sync with your CPU, then overclock the FSB. Try setting your FSB to 412 MHz for a start and see how that works.

I can actually jack the FSB up to 1000Mhz (250X4) and it runs very stable. The RAM is only clocked at 400MHz though so i am actually running it in a 5:4 ratio. I'm just confused why i purchased 3500 ram (433) when i can never seem to get it up to that speed. Basically i guess i just leaped before i look and bought hardware that was a bit to good for what i need.
