Set myself a strict budget. Ideally looking for one of those fancy core duo jobbies and a x1600 GPU. Anyone got any ideas on models as the cheapest i found was £1250 fugitisu siemans 1.6 duo, 1gb, x1600. Any comments would be great.

Look for something like the Dell Inspiron E1705.
It is a good mid-range notebook that can be had with a T2400, a 7800go and 2 gigs of ram for about £1150, a little overbudget, but well worth the £50.
