Hi, all. I have a HAndspring Visor Pro and the battery is holding less
and less of a charge as time goes by. I think it is about to go dead. Is
there a simple, relatively inexpensive way I can replace it? TIA.

This I would like to know as well. Where can you get a replacement
battery? http://www.gethightech.com/ doesn't even seem to have it.

krewl, I have 2 Visor Pro's and just got done putting all my info on the
2nd one. Let me rip apart the old one and see what battery it does take.
If it is one purchasable at a store, I'll post it so you can get one, too.
In the meantime, if anyone out there has any idea on replacing the battery
in a Handspring Visor Pro, please let us know.

krewl, I'm looking at my Visor Pro battery now. It is wrapped in black
plastic/rubber (?) and has on the side:
14-0020-00
F27A
Doing a web search now for this battery. I'm wondering if it is the same
battery as, say, the Visor Edge that's on sale at gethightech.com .

I am quite sure that it is not the same batter as the Edge. I did
check with them a few months ago and they said it is is different
battery and that they were not planning on carrying the battery for
the Visor Pro.

Will do! And, thanks for the battery number. That should help a lot in
tracking it down.

I can't figure out why Handspring and battery sources seem to have
abaondoned the Visor Pro. For example, here are the batts for all the
Handspring/Visor models, except for the Pro Go figure:

Visually, but with no way to compare the size since only the battery is
shown but nothing else, my Visor Pro battery appears to look most like the
Edge battery. I'm going to call Handspring on Monday and see if they can
give me at least voltage/current specs for the Visor Pro battery, then
I'll order the battery closest to meeting those specs and try it out.
Since this Visor Pro is useless without a working battery, I have nothing
to lose other than the cost of the new battery if it doesn't work.
