I have two PCs at home (one WinXP Pro SP2, one Win98SE) with AOK and
the Conquerors Exp. and the 1.0c update installed; they play fine as
long as I use administrator on WinXP and turn the firewall off.
Today I picked up the AOE2 Gold Edition for the Mac. I can't get a TCP/IP
multiplayer game started between it and a PC on my local LAN, even
with the Mac and PC firewalls turned off, and directly connected to a
simple switch. Doesn't matter which one creates the game and which one
tries to join; it finds no games when I enter the other one's IP address.
Can a Mac and PC play a multiplayer together on the LAN?
Is AOE2 Gold Ed. compatible with AOK+Conq+1.0c patch? (It says "1.0c" on
the Mac screen after I create a multiplayer game.)
