Surge Protectors

I don't know how much it really matters, but I was looking into buying a new surge protector for my computer and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. Thanks!!

dude, surge protector = VERY IMPORTANT. basically, you paid so much $$ for your system, why cheap-out on surge protection... for a power-bar/surge protector i say MINIMUM $25, though ideally a UPS (Uninteruptable Power Supply) should be installed (for starters a 500VA one is good enough, and APC has some decent models for good prices).

Get a whole-house surge protector installed in your main circuit breaker box. It about as cheap as a few decent $40-50 APC or Tripplite plug-in surge protectors but will protect every outlet and probably better because of its more direct earth ground connection.
