Insert a disc into drive e windows 7

Hello,

Whenever i try and insert a disc & click the dvd drive, it says "Please insert a disc into drive F:"

drive might be borked.

Could try;
*replacing the sata cable used between the device and motherboard
*Attempt to clean lens by using compressed or mouth air to move the dust around if a cleaning cd wont detect.

Also your dvd drive is letter F, what other devices are you using? More hdds more dvd drives? is the cd in the right drive?
