Hello, I am looking for a gaming laptop. I know pretty much on desktops what is great and what to avoid, but I am planning to buy my first laptop soon because I going to university next september. I have seen some great offers on sites such as www.cyberpowerpc.com, but the problem is that I am a Canadian citizen, and I can't find competitive worlwide companies. I plan spending around 1500-2000 $ CAD. Is there someone that could help me find something that would be performing?

The only thing I ask in this laptop is a great video game card, and if possible a turion 64.

Thank you for replying.

I ship all over the world, and have a model with an x1600 256 MB video that sounds exactly what you are looking for.

Will you be building any 17' Laptops?

Reply to HardWareBoss

Yes, I build 17" laptops, I just do it on request because it is very hard to compete with DELL on such a model.

I can build just about any laptop on special order.

Good to know. My next upgrade will be 15.4" Maybe a Big IF I decide to do a 17"

Laptop will never match the desktop due to limited cooling system, however Ii found 17" Dell 9400 (E1705) with 1G memory, 256M 7800 Video pretty good for gaming such as Half Life 2, FEAR, Rodge Trooper, Deus Ex, etc. Visual experience and sound is good but it won't match the desktop at the extereme setting. With larger battery pack, it last for 2.5 hours on word processor mode.

Dell XPS has better gaming spec but not Duo processor and carry higher price tag. I suspecting they releasing new range of high spec laptop since they bought Alienware. Warning:- Very high spec laptop will burn your lap!, you have to place a book between them.

I found Dell technical support very good, one of my speaker socket broken under warranty, it took them 1 week to fix it (including shipping) which basically replace the motherboard and upgraded the BIOS. Not bad!.

Well, we build a laptop called the ASSASSIN that rivals a desktop.

19" Dual 7800 GTX in SLi mode, 2 Gigs Ultra Low Latency 2-2-2-5 timing RAM, 7,200 rpm hard drive... it will CRUSH that DELL.

It will be up n the site week of May 21st.

Reply to El_Cangri

We ship all over the world.

For out of the USA it's gotta go to a PayPal verified address or purchased through a bank wire transfer.

You have to add $75 for out of the USA shipping also.

Would love to set you up.. our goal is to have a KillerNotebook in every country on Earth!!!

Nice looking Laptop. What no spare battery? No MT42?

Reply to HardWareBoss

You can get up tp an ML-44 right now, and I can add any accessory your heart desires. I'm glad we're starting to see more options for the AMD notebooks... it's about time.

With the carbon fiber it looks really sweet.
