The 3dmark of sound!

What are some good audio benchmarking programs? I'm most interested in something that will tell me how much CPU my sound is taking and be able to compare that with if I had a different sound card.

Actually IIRC, 3DMark2003 contains special tests for sound cards and their CPU utilization when playing different numbers of Directsound or Directsound3D sounds simultaneously.

Yes, r2k is right, the sound test of 3DMark doesn't sit there for nothing. you can look at the impact on performance using the sound test. If you mean quality, that leaves to subjective opinion.
