Go for LiteOn.

Sony sells rebadged LiteOn CD-RW's

ASUS drives are very noisy.

MSI drives aren't very good.

no question about it. Lite-On. their quiet, stable, they dont make coasters.... and....THIER CHEAP! www.newegg.com best prices on the web, incredibly fast shipping. i purchase parts for all my builds there.

asus....noisy!

Philips...was noisy, and was picky on my discs and made way too many coasters... (looked cool tho)

Creative...well, just stick with Lite-On

for the love of god, don't buy an artec! I've had nothing but trouble with mine and their customer service is nonexistent. Be careful cos a lot of cheap brands are rebadged artecs. Definitely buy a Lite-on, they're good quality and a good price

no artec... gocha... i cant even get artec brand here in australia..
ok.. i've read a couple of well written in depth review about a bunch of drives.
and my choices are now down to LiteOn and Sony. thinking about getting sony.

I've heard this more than one in this forum. But if you buy LiteOn, then you will have no dobt that you are getting a LiteOn. IMO, LiteOn is the way to go
