Roland/Boss Volume/Expression Pedals?

I want to use a pedal to control the VCF on my Roland Jupiter-6
synthesizer through the 1/4" jack on the back. The manual specifies the
Boss FV-200 pedal, but they seem a bit hard to find.

Roland's tech suggested I use either an FV-300L or an EV-5.

Does anyone know if these have the same impedance pot as the FV-200?
Roland seems very short on specific data of this sort. Does one have a
more rugged case than the other?
