Saitek Evo Jpystick & MS Flt Sim 2004

I recently purchased a Saitek Cyborg Evo Joystick and
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. I downloaded the Flt Sim
2004 profile but I cannot get the joystick to fully
function in the simulator. Some buttons work: the
trigger, throttle, and the stick itself. But the rest do
not. I have enabled the profile on the task bar and the
joystick is enabled in settings in Flt Sim. Please can
anyone help me. It's driving me nuts!!! Windows XP
incidentally.
