So I go to turn on my computer and it fires up fine but the display doesnt turn on. This is a Dell XPS and the monitor is Dell also. Dont have any idea what to do. Sometimes it starts up but sometimes it doesnt.
Any suggestions?

Yeah, call Dell and have them replace the monitor under warranty (if possible). If not, go too your local store and buy a new monitor. Or take it apart and try and fix it.

Sounds like your monitor is dead/dying.
