What do people recommend for a good calculator for my Sony TH-55? I want to
replace the built in one because I want as much 320x480 software as possible. I
don't need a really powerful calculator because I have a TI-89 for my main work,
but I would like something that at least has log and trig functions. I would also really
like algabraic input if possible (i.e. you enter a calculation like "2*(3+5)" and the
input display shows the input exactly as it is entered, i.e. with the brakets in place).
So far the 2 that come closest to my needs are Hudren's NeoCalc and Infinity
PowerOne Personal+ but neither is perfect.
PowerOne Personal has algebraic input (as a $10 extra option) but makes really
poor use of a 320x480 screen by not providing shift functions for any of the keys,
thus almost halving the number of on-key functions available. NeoCalc has much
better key use, and some other really nice stuff, but I hate the way the input method
works.
If I could only find a calculator as good as NeoCalc that did have algebraic input
then my quest would be over. Any ideas anyone?

He's telling the *world*, not you personally.
Yes, it's better to reply to the correct posting, but it isn't always
possible. His news server might have expired the original article, or it
otherwise wasn't available.

What! You mean all the traffic on usenet isn't posted just for me?
Others are reading it too? How rude. Desist at once. <gr>

If it's not possible to reply correctly he should not reply at all.
Good newsreaders inform the reader (by flags or scoring) whether there
is a direct followup on his/her article which may require an action.
In this case I am flagged, though his message is completely unrelated
to mine. And the original poster isn't informed because it's no direct
followup (unless he has setup another kind of thread monitoring).

Oh, so out of politeness to *you*, he should not try to help the original
poster? I have two words for you, and out of politeness to the rest of the
world I won't say them.

If the original article has already expired (which usually happens
after several days have passed), you can assume that the OP is no
longer listening. Furthermore, as I said, the original poster will not
register the answer as being directed to him.

Please keep in mind that I assumed the poster has done a followup to
me by mistake and just asked a polite question to let him know.
