first time here.i had made a backup of my hp pc using norton ghost.ive restored it on my laptop which is an accer then got a bsod on startup. ive managed to repair the system,but every time i restart,windows loads correctly the pauses and displays the message

autochk not found

then a blue screen is displayed and of course the pc restarts.ive tried everything but to no avail.plz help

Like nhasian said you can't really do that (unless the hardware is identical), the clone you made has the drivers and all the settings set for the hardware in the old computer and will cause a lot of problems in the new one. You can probably fix it but you most likely will never get it running like a new install and will see random problems. It is best to just do a clean install on the laptop and it is also probably faster to do then trying to fix the clone image on the laptop.
