Hi guys,

If you could spare a moment, I could use some opinions...

I'm an indie producer/engineer with a pretty functional home rig. Made
some pretty decent records with affordable gear (some 414s, pair of Dan
Alexander Pres, MOTU 2408mkii, etc.).

I'm interested in upgrading to a nice pair of stereo a->d converters
for tracking purposes ( d->a isn't that important, as they're not for
mixing, which usually happens in an outside studio). Any suggestions as
far as bang for the buck? I get the feeling that my tracks could open
up more and definitely benefit from the upgrade (I'm not esp. keen on
the 2408mkii's a->d).

Much obliged.

Cheers,
Josh

Hi Josh,

You should check out the Lavry Engineering Blue series :
www.lavryengineering.com

A stereo pair is $1650. I got mine from Atlas Pro Audio, a good place to
buy stuff from :
http://www.atlasproaudio.com/lavryblue.html

Best of luck!

Thanks- looks like a great product. Would you definitely choose the
Lavry over, say, the Apogee Rosetta 200?

Thanks again,
josh

Damn fine. I gave it a rave review in "Recording" and if I'd had the money
I'd have bought it.

Peace,
Paul
