I bougth me a new case with an included PSU. I mounted the MB and all other things that a pc needs to function but when I tried to start it up, nothing. Not a sound. Could this be that the PSU is dead, In an ATX case wouldn't the psu fan start spinning even if all other components is dead? I've reversed the pwr connection on the mobo to the pwrbutton.

First check if nothing is shorting out.

Alos test your PSU without components connected. I assume you got an ATX PSU so this is the way you do it:
1. Remove all connectors from other hardware.
2. Take the 20-pin mobo plug and connect the green (Power On) cable with the black (ground) next to it to turn it on.

much abliged for the fast answer. Ther's only one crux there are a black cable on both sides of the green cable, so which one to use?

Woops I should've been more clear... use the one that is on the same side of the long edge of the connector as the green one.

I meant that there is a black cable both to the left and rigth of the green on in the connector. I took a picture of the connector. Follow the link and i would appreciate if you could tell me if it is the right or the left cable on the pictures.

Actually it doesn't matter, you can use ANY black wire...all the black wires are ground (0V) and they all go to the same place on the PSU's PCB.

I already thought so... but mine has an extra small wire on that pin so that made me wonder about it.
