My new HP iPAQ hx2790 has just arrived today and I followed the instructions and installed Active Sync 4.0 and when it told me to connect my device i did but instead of active sync working Windows came up with instaling new hardware "Windows Mobile Device". Whats going wrong? I have tried installing active sync 4.1 but it still does the same thing. I am running Windows XP Professional. Anyone had or heard of this problem and know how to resolve it? Please help.
I have been looking forward to this for a while now and this problem has left me disapointed.

Its appearing as a new network device under network connections. Whats happening?
