RAID 0 config., which one?

We all know that RAID 0 is faster than a single hard drive. But How much of a difference does it make if you have 2 WD raptors vs. 2 segate 80 gig SATAs on the RAID 0 config.?

Of course the best might be 2 raptors, but how much of a performance increase will there be? Has there been benchmarks or comparison tests done? any article?

I can't think of any specific benchmarks, but are you speaking of the same Seagate drive that was the first to the SATA market? The Western Digital Raptors really knock the socks off it. I could get you started with some benchmarks (done by THG ) about the Raptor as a single disk. Good luck!

I just recieved my two raptors this lunchtime and I'm intending to run them Raid 0 on my Asus A7N8X Delux.

I've got PCmark and Sandra to benchmark with and I'll post the results in the next day or two.
